Custom Welded Steel Equipment Support Frames from Drawings
Anstorm manufactures custom welded steel equipment support frames for industrial equipment, electrical assemblies and fabricated metal projects. The examples shown use rectangular hollow sections, diagonal braces and mounting plates to create an open frame with defined attachment points. Each frame is produced to an approved drawing rather than supplied as a standard load-rated product.
This page is focused on welded frame assemblies. For flat profiles and blanks without an assembled frame, see our custom CNC laser-cut sheet metal parts. For formed brackets, channels and box-shaped components, review our custom bent and welded sheet metal parts.
Frame Construction and Visible Features
A welded support frame may combine cut tube or section members with sheet-metal plates, gussets, cross-members and mounting tabs. The product photos show open rectangular sections, angled reinforcing members, drilled mounting holes and welded joints. Member size, wall thickness, joint arrangement and plate geometry must be defined for the actual equipment and installation method.
Materials and Surface Finish
Carbon steel is commonly considered for welded equipment frames, while stainless steel or other materials may be evaluated when the operating environment requires them. The white finished examples shown demonstrate a coated appearance, but the required coating type, colour, texture, masking areas and corrosion expectations must be stated in the project specification. Material grade and finish are confirmed during quotation.
Drawing and Load Information Required
Provide an assembly drawing with overall dimensions, section sizes, material thicknesses, hole locations, joint details and critical datums. The quotation also needs the supported equipment weight, load direction, mounting method, centre of gravity, operating vibration and any transport or lifting conditions that affect the frame. A photograph alone is not enough to establish structural suitability.
Fabrication and Assembly Scope
The quoted route may include material cutting, hole preparation, plate forming, fixture assembly, welding, cleanup and surface finishing when specified. Weld locations and access should be reviewed before production so that parts can be positioned consistently. Machined interfaces, purchased hardware, adjustable feet or electrical components are included only when they are listed in the approved quotation.
Inspection of Welded Frame Assemblies
Inspection follows the approved drawing and agreed acceptance criteria. Relevant checks can include overall dimensions, mounting-hole locations, diagonal measurements, interface flatness, visible weld condition, coating coverage and part count. Structural load capacity, weld procedure qualification or third-party certification is not implied unless it is specifically engineered, documented and included in the order. Request a Frame Fabrication Quotation
Send the frame drawing, quantity, material, section sizes, critical tolerances, finish and required secondary operations. Include the supported equipment details and identify every functional mounting interface.
