Sheet Metal Welding and Assembly Service
Anstorm provides a sheet metal welding and assembly service for custom brackets, housings, equipment parts and fabricated subassemblies made to approved drawings. The example shown combines a large circular opening, smaller mounting holes, formed edges, joined corners and a white finished surface. It is a project-specific fabricated assembly rather than a standard catalogue item.
This page focuses on joining and assembly after individual components have been prepared. For laser cutting and forming without an assembled weldment, review our sheet metal laser cutting and bending service. Buyers seeking completed bent-and-welded parts can also see our custom bent and welded sheet metal parts.
Parts Suited to Welding and Assembly
The service can be considered for fabricated brackets, mounting housings, equipment supports, enclosure subassemblies and other components built from two or more prepared pieces. Assemblies may combine cut sheet, formed flanges, plates, tabs, bosses or purchased hardware when these items are defined in the bill of materials. Final suitability depends on the joint layout, access, material and functional load path.
Drawings, Joints and Functional Datums
Provide an assembly drawing showing overall dimensions, component references, joint locations, weld symbols where applicable and critical interfaces. Identify the datums used to position mounting holes, openings and mating surfaces. Joint access, fixture strategy and inspection access should be reviewed before release. A photograph or general model does not replace dimensions and acceptance criteria for the finished weldment.
Materials and Finish Requirements
Projects may specify carbon steel, stainless steel or aluminum according to the assembly’s function and operating environment. Material grade, thickness and surface condition should be confirmed before quotation because welding response and finishing requirements differ. The white surface in the product photo is an appearance example only; coating type, colour, texture, masking points and corrosion expectations must be listed for the actual order.
Fabrication Scope and Exclusions
The quoted route may include component cutting, bending, hole preparation, fixture assembly, welding, cleanup, hardware installation and surface finishing when specified. Weld type, extent and finish should follow the approved drawing. Machining, electrical components, wiring, load testing, qualified weld procedures or third-party certification are not included unless they are explicitly documented and accepted in the quotation.
Inspection of Fabricated Weldments
Inspection follows the released drawing and agreed acceptance criteria. Relevant checks can include overall size, diagonal measurements, hole and opening locations, interface alignment, visible weld condition, distortion, hardware position, coating coverage and part count. Exact tolerances, weld inspection methods and documentation level must be agreed before production. Learn more about Anstorm’s quality inspection process.
Request a Welding and Assembly Quote
Send the assembly drawing, component drawings or model, quantity, material grades, joint requirements, critical datums, tolerances, finish and any documentation needs. Explain how the assembly mounts and which interfaces control final fit. Contact Anstorm with your project files and application requirements for a manufacturing review and quotation.
