Large Galvanized Steel Electrical Control Cabinet
This large galvanized steel electrical control cabinet provides a floor-standing housing for control, distribution or automation equipment. The photographed configuration measures 1700 mm high × 1000 mm wide × 510 mm deep and includes a front access door, multiple instrument cutouts, ventilation slots and a raised base. Dimensions and interfaces can be adapted when a different equipment layout is required.
Plan the Front Panel from the Component Layout
Displays, meters, indicator lights, switches and other door-mounted devices require an accurate cutout drawing. Hole dimensions, spacing, datum points and the usable door area should be checked against the hardware selected for the project. Component depth and internal wiring clearance must also be considered before the panel drawing is approved.
Ventilation and Thermal Requirements
The pictured cabinet uses multiple ventilation openings, but the correct arrangement depends on heat load, airflow path, dust exposure and any required ingress protection. Provide equipment heat-loss data and ambient conditions when fans, filters or passive louvers are needed. Ventilation features and enclosure protection must be evaluated together rather than treated as separate specifications.
Galvanized Steel and Finish
Galvanized steel can provide a protective zinc-coated substrate for fabricated cabinets. State the sheet thickness, coating or finish expectation, visible surface standard and any additional paint or powder-coat requirement. For projects focused on a different material, compare the stainless steel control cabinet or the standard folded steel electrical cabinet.
