Double-Door Stainless Steel Enclosure with Viewing Windows
This made-to-order cabinet body is intended for projects that need wide service access and a clear view of selected instruments or indicators. The two-door layout divides the front opening into more manageable sections, while the viewing windows allow routine visual checks without opening the cabinet. Anstorm manufactures the metal enclosure shell and related sheet-metal features; internal electrical components are not included.
When a Double-Door Layout Is Useful
A double-door electrical enclosure can be practical when a wide cabinet opening would make a single door difficult to handle or when different areas need separate access. Typical project discussions include industrial control assemblies, monitoring equipment and power-distribution housings. Final suitability depends on the equipment layout, installation position, service clearance and environmental requirements supplied by the buyer.
- Service access: two doors provide access to a wider internal mounting area.
- Visual inspection: front windows can be positioned around meters, indicators or displays.
- Project-specific layout: door proportions, window locations and cutouts can be defined from approved drawings.
Material and Fabrication Options
The configuration currently shown is manufactured from SS201 stainless steel. Material grade, sheet thickness and surface requirements should be confirmed for each order because corrosion exposure, cleaning chemicals and installation conditions vary. If another stainless grade is required, identify it in the RFQ so availability and fabrication feasibility can be reviewed before quotation.
Cabinet-body production can include sheet cutting, bending, welding, edge finishing and hardware assembly. Project drawings may define overall dimensions, mounting holes, cable-entry cutouts, internal mounting provisions, hinge direction, lock style and viewing-window size. These details are reviewed before production rather than assumed from a standard model.
Viewing Window and Door Planning
The window position should match the equipment that needs to remain visible. Buyers should also define the required window material, clear viewing area, edge clearance and any sealing requirement. Door swing, hinge location and maintenance space must be checked against the installation site. A viewing window or stainless construction alone does not establish an IP or NEMA rating; any target protection requirement must be specified and evaluated for the complete enclosure configuration.
Manufacturing and Quality Checks
Quality control for a fabricated double-door cabinet body should follow the approved drawing and agreed specification. Relevant checks can include:
- overall dimensions, cutout positions and mounting-hole locations;
- door alignment, opening movement and consistent clearances;
- weld finishing, edges and visible stainless-steel surfaces;
- installation of hinges, locks and specified mounting hardware;
- window fit, visible condition and protective packaging before shipment.
