Electric Meter Storage and Turnover Cabinet
This electric meter storage and turnover cabinet is designed for organized storage, issue, return or circulation of electric meters and related metering devices. The photographed configuration uses many individual compartments, an upper access section and a floor-standing cabinet body. It should not be confused with a cabinet that performs energy measurement by itself.
Configure Compartments for the Meter Fleet
Provide the maximum meter dimensions, quantity per cabinet and handling method. Compartment width, height and depth should allow safe insertion and removal without damaging connectors or labels. The layout can also account for separators, identification plates, status marking and reserved cells for different meter models.
Access, Security and Workflow
Define who needs access, how devices are issued and whether mechanical locks, controlled doors or electronic tracking interfaces are required. Any scanner, indicator, controller, wiring or communications hardware must be listed separately because it is not implied by the sheet-metal cabinet alone. The operating workflow determines door grouping and service access.
Material, Finish and Installation
State the cabinet material, sheet thickness, finish, color, floor fixing and available installation space. Door swing and aisle clearance should be checked before approval. If the cabinet will be installed in a particular utility environment, provide the relevant State Grid, local utility or internal enterprise specification rather than relying on a product label.

- Door, lock, label and identification requirements
- Electrical or tracking hardware in the supply scope
- Material, finish and color

Drawing and Inspection
A compartment schedule and general arrangement drawing should be approved before production. Cell dimensions, door operation, labels and visible finish can then be checked through the quality inspection process. Review catalog and drawing resources when preparing the request.
