Check Wall Space and Door Clearance

Record the usable wall area, mounting surface and nearby equipment before selecting the box dimensions. Allow clearance for door swing, wiring, cable glands and maintenance. The completed weight and fixing method should be evaluated by the responsible installer, including the components placed inside.

Plan the Internal Distribution Layout

Provide the component arrangement, mounting plate or DIN-rail requirements, wire-duct paths and terminal locations. Mark cable entries and external interfaces on a dimensioned drawing. Separating power, control and communication wiring may require additional space or partitions.

Stainless Grade and Environmental Requirements

Specify the stainless grade, sheet thickness and surface finish. Describe indoor, sheltered, exposed or washdown conditions and any contact with cleaning chemicals. If an IP or NEMA requirement applies, doors, gaskets, locks, seams, openings and glands must be evaluated together. Material alone does not establish the final rating.
