Electrical Cabinet Technical Specification Checklist

Anstorm: Technical Requirements for Cabinets

This comprehensive design ensures Anstorm cabinets meet rigorous industry and environmental standards, combining durability with ease of maintenance and a high level of adaptability for various applications.

Operating Conditions

  1. Normal Conditions:
    • Ambient temperature: ≤55°C (with a 24-hour average ≤35°C), minimum temperature: -20°C.
    • Atmospheric conditions: Clean air, 20%-80% humidity, no condensation.
    • Indoor installation in clean environments without conductive or explosive dust, severe vibrations, or shocks.
  2. Special Conditions:
    • Deviations from normal conditions require negotiation with the manufacturer at the time of order.

Structural Requirements

  1. Material and Durability:
    • Built with materials capable of withstanding mechanical, electrical, and thermal stresses, along with resistance to humidity.
    • Anti-corrosion materials or corrosion-resistant coatings ensure longevity.
  2. Mechanical Integrity:
    • Doors and locking mechanisms have adequate strength for operational stresses.
    • Doors must open smoothly at an angle ≥90°, with secure connections and fasteners during use.

Dimensions

  • Height Options: 1600mm, 1800mm, 2000mm.
  • Width Options: 400mm to 1200mm in increments of 200mm.
  • Depth Options: 600mm to 1200mm in increments of 200mm.

Appearance Standards

  • Smooth, defect-free surfaces without cracks, burrs, or corrosion.
  • Coatings exhibit strong adhesion, uniform color, and resistance to mechanical damage.
  • Metal plating free from rust, peeling, or discoloration.

Design and Manufacturing

  • Emphasis on interchangeability and compatibility across products of similar size and model.
  • Protection Rating: Tailored to installation and environmental needs.
  • Electrical Continuity: All metallic components are interconnected, with grounding resistance ≤0.1Ω.

Performance Requirements

  1. Load and Lifting Strength:
    • Cabinets designed with secure mounting and lifting points. After testing, no deformation affecting functionality is permitted.
  2. Structural Rigidity:
    • Must maintain integrity during stress tests, ensuring full operational and functional capability.
  3. Vibration and Impact Resistance:
    • Able to endure standard vibration and impact tests without affecting operational performance or structural integrity.

Scope and Responsibility

Define whether the order covers the empty enclosure, mounting accessories, partial assembly or a complete electrical system. Assign responsibility for tests and certification.

Dimensions and Equipment Data

Provide overall limits, internal layout, loads, mounting method, service clearance and transport constraints. Identify critical interfaces and tolerances.

Material and Finish

State grade, thickness, coating or surface finish, color and cosmetic acceptance. Include masked grounding areas and weld requirements.

Protection and Thermal Requirements

Document the environment, target rating, heat load and cooling method. Ratings apply only to the verified configuration.

Doors, Hardware and Cable Entry

Specify hinges, locks, gaskets, mounting plates, glands, vents, windows and external controls. Show every opening in the drawing.

Inspection and Documentation

List dimensional checks, records, labels, packaging and revision requirements. Use the cabinet drawing guide and inspection workflow. Submit the specification through the contact page.
